Absolute partners with Salute The Sun for Barney Artist and Chloe Martini

Absolute Label Services has been enlisted by management company Salute The Sun for album campaigns from two of its acts: Barney Artist and Chloe Martini.

Formed in 2017 by Linda Maitland, Mel Rudder and Nadine Persaud, Salute The Sun is a management company within the Red Light Management family. Their roster includes Louis Culture as well as Chloe Martini and Barney Artist.

London-based producer Chloe Martini will release her long-awaited collaboration EP, Daydream, on July 25th via Salute The Sun.

Meanwhile, following his new single, Calm Down, revered Forest Gate rapper Barney Artist will release his new EP, Bikes Are Bikes, on August 9 via Banana Bus Records.

Absolute will provide full label service functions for both projects globally, including distribution and marketing.

Barney Artist’s new project follows on from a busy 12 months which saw the release of debut album Home Is Where The Art Is, a sold-out headline UK tour, an EU and UK support slot with Tom Misch, a flurry of international shows and festivals including Love Supreme, Barn On The Farm and World Island, as well as a FIFA 19 sync.

Barney Artist is a PRS Momentum Fund Artist for 2019 and has been nominated in the One To Watch category at this year’s AIM Independent Music Awards.

He has received support from GQ, The Fader, Noisey, Line Of Best Fit, i-D, Jamz Supernova, Yasmin Evans, Mistajam, DJ Target and more.

Chloe Martini has to date amassed more than 6 million streams across original productions and remixes for a range of artists including Sia, Janelle Monae, Sinead Harnett and Anne-Marie.

Daydream EP features the vocal talents of Maad, KWAYE, Rosalie and Bessi. It follows well-received 2017 EP Never Twice The Same, which featured vocalists Chiara Hunter, Anne-Marie, Vanessa White and BB Diamond.

Martini has received praise from the likes of Clash, Okayplayer, NTS, The 405, Fault Magazine, Earmilk and Wonderland Magazine, with radio support from Mistajam, Jamz Supernova, Julie Adenuga and Toddla T.

Absolute Label Services Director Mark Dowling said: “We are all really excited to be working with Linda, Nadine and Mel at Salute The Sun. They are a dream to work with and we complement each other well. Both Barney and Chloe are artists we’ve been aware of for some time, and it’s great they’ve chosen to partner with Absolute. Both are extremely talented artists who are forging careers on their own terms.”

Salute The Suns Director Nadine Persaud said “We’ve worked with several distribution partners but the enthusiasm and passion shown by the Absolute team for our projects has really set the standard for us. As Managers, you care deeply about your artists and their music, so it's vital that everyone on your team carries that same energy. Our projects can run smoothly because even at the most senior level, Absolute make themselves available to deal with issues and deliver creative solutions.”

Founded in 1998, Absolute is one of the world’s most established independent label services companies. It has a varied client base, having worked on high profile album releases from artists and labels including Steps, All Saints, Jake Shears, Kim Wilde, Alice Cooper, The Overtones, 67, Dappy, Ay Em, RAM Records, Ferris & Sylvester, Bananarama and many more in recent years.
