#1 Children’s Music Brand In The US ‘Kidz Bop’ To Launch In The UK In Spring 2017



UNIVERSAL MUSIC ON DEMAND, ITV, CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY (CAA) AND CROWN TALENT & MEDIA GROUP CONFIRMED AS UK PARTNERS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL ROLL-OUT

First-Ever Group of British KIDZ BOP Kids Cast; Debut Album Set for 31 March

KIDZ BOP, the #1 children’s music brand in the US with more than 17 million albums sold, announced today it will launch in the UK this spring. As part of its international expansion, KIDZ BOP has partnered with several top UK media and entertainment entities including: Universal Music On Demand, ITV, Crown Talent & Media Group, and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). The first KIDZ BOP album will debut on 31 March 2017, followed by a second release in Q4.

Universal Music On Demand (UMOD) has been tapped as a label partner for KIDZ BOP in the UK. Work on the initial KIDZ BOP albums has commenced in London and will follow the same suit as the US, featuring the first-ever UK KIDZ BOP Kids performing child friendly cover versions of today’s biggest hits “sung by kids for kids.” 

Crown Talent & Media Group was brought on board to spearhead a nine-month UK-wide talent search and audition process to find the British KIDZ BOP Kids. The group has been recently cast and is made up of four talented young performers aged 11-12 years old.

It has also been announced today that ITV will be the media partner for the launch of KIDZ BOP in the UK. The deal will include an extensive multi-platform advertising campaign including ITV main channel. Creative Artists Agency (CAA) will act as a key partner for the UK launch, serving as strategic advisors as well as tour and live-booking agents. 

The album releases will be supported with a robust digital strategy including the launch of a UK KIDZ BOP YouTube channel which will feature music videos starring the British KIDZ BOP Kids, produced in the same style as those seen stateside with an emphasis on top production value, and further bespoke content to engage new and existing KIDZ BOP fans in the UK.
