We say: With a varied background from burlesque dancing to being Ray Mears's apprentice, Sam Lee has experienced life from all angles. Adding former Chelsea Arts School student and accomplished promoter to his list of accolades, it is now his traditional folk with a touch of Romany Gypsy and Irish traveller tones that is attracting the attention of fans and mainstream media alike. His debut album Ground Of Its Own gave critics what they were looking for earning him four star reviews in Mojo, Q, The Observer, The Independent, IoS and The Guardian, plus a five star in the Evening Standard and Songlines. On top of a slew of print media attention Lee has also seen a week of airplay on Radio 3's Late Junction, a session and interview on Radio 3's In Tune, a Radio 4 Front Row interview and an interview for Radio 2's Mike Harding Show. He's also recorded a session for Rob da Bank on Radio 1.
Appearing at: Secret Garden Party, London Folk Festival, Wilderness
