Jack Levy and Bill Wright are the duo Rainbow Shark, and this fabulous song transports us back to that wonderful creative period in UK music post-acid house, when the influences of Chicago and Detroit's underground dance scenes combined to produce some truly glorious homegrown tracks. The boys originally met in Manchester and recorded their self-titled debut EP at the city’s 80 Hertz Studios. That EP gained them both local and national radio interest, so they moved to London, recorded a second called A Light Echo, and have now picked up glowing reviews from edgy music blogs including The 405, The Blue Walrus, The Sound of Confusion, Diamond Deposits and The Record Stache, plus airplay from Gary Crowley at BBC London, Amazing Radio, and Dave Gilyeat at BBC Introducing in Oxford. Following on from a recent sold out show at Servant’s Jazz Quarters, they next play in London at the New Cross Inn on December 2. Balearic beats, vibes and sounds from acts like The Beloved and Happy Mondays blend with 2016 sensibilities on this outstanding track that demands repeat listens.
