Universal Music’s Globe launches partnership with ASOS

Last week saw the roll-out of a new partnership between Universal Music and international online fashion retailer ASOS. Led by Universal Music’s Creative & Commercial division, Globe, the partnership will allow ASOS to exclusively host selected Universal Music artists’ music video premieres for 24 hours on its channels.  The partnership will also provide ASOS with a range of bespoke, artist-led content, created by Globe Productions in collaboration with ASOS’s creative teams.
 
The partnership began on ASOS’s French YouTube channel last weekend, with exclusive content from Years & Years, filmed at their album launch party. The Years & Years content included exclusive footage of the band performing new single ‘Shine’, album track ‘Worship’, and an exclusive interview.  The band were dressed by ASOS stylists for the party, which was hosted at One Mayfair in London as a celebration of the launch of their highly anticipated debut album, Communion, on the first ever Global Release Day on July 10th.
 
The Years & Years exclusive is followed by tomorrow’s  (July 22nd) world premiere of Ella Eyre’s new music video, ‘Good Times’, which will be the official single leading into her debut album Feline (released August 28th). To support ASOS’s ongoing marketing campaign in France, this will be followed up in August by further pieces of content featuring Ella with music and fashion at the heart of them.
