UK Music PR Company Listen Up expands into the US with new LA office to open February 2nd 2015
29 January 2015 - Press releaseFirst established in 2009, UK music promotions agency Listen Up will launch the US arm of its press business on February 2nd 2015.
The new office will be located on the 14th floor of the CNN building on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood and will be headed up by Cecilia Doreng-Stearns, former Director of Publicity at Dim Mak Records.
"I’m very excited to be joining Listen Up during this new phase of the company’s international development” says Cecilia “I’m greatly looking forward to building off the strong foundation that James Mack and Luke Neville have established in the UK and beyond.”
Ever since its inception, Listen Up has represented both the pioneers and trailblazers of the international dance music world, working with both underground and mainstream artists, labels and events to deliver bespoke and individually tailored press/radio campaigns. From world-renowned acts like Avicii, Deadmau5 and Tiesto to underground club pioneers like Jamie Jones and large-scale festivals like Global Gathering, Listen Up has developed a model that works for their impressively diverse roster of clients.
The move to establish the company in America has subsequently been carefully considered - with Listen Up identifying the opportunity as a natural step forward in their expansion - but waiting until the time was right before making their move.
“We’ve been travelling to America regularly for the last few years, having meetings with labels, management, artists - so we have such a good infrastructure of contacts in North America to establish ourselves firmly” explains Luke Neville, Managing Director.
“With the sheer size of North America and the press opportunities it presents”, continues James Mack, Director, “to be to be able to exceed your clients expectations you need to have a firm base out there.”
With both the global reach and fluidity of the contemporary electronic music world - whereby artists’ extensive touring and recording schedules have presented a new challenge in relation to press - Listen Up have reacted by offering clients a new base in the US specifically.
