Tileyard to Host A&R Clinic

Glocal World Entertainment have partnered with Tileyard Studios to host their next event, ‘The GWE A&R Clinic’, to be held on Thursday 31st July 2014. Starting with The Essential Music Business (EMB) Seminar back in January of this year, the London-based Music Management Company has now branched out into the area of Music Industry Workshops and Seminars. Following The EMB Seminar, they then joined forces with PPL to create a more intimate workshop called ‘The Industry Insider’ in April, which focused on ‘The Future of Recorded Music Revenue’, with panelists Keith Harris, Simon Hutchinson, and James Walsh.

Now gearing up for Event No. 3 with one more scheduled for October 2014, Glocal World Ent. have created ‘The GWE A&R Clinic’. The July Workshop, which will be held at, and in association with Tileyard Studios will give Unsigned Music Creatives (Artists, Songwriters, and Producers) a rare opportunity to have a One-to-One Consultation with the A&R Directors from some of the Top Record Labels & Music Publishers in the UK. They will be given the chance to have their demos critiqued on the spot, along with general advice and career guidance. Already signed up for the Clinic are Tileyard Music Publishing’s Charlie Arme, and Daniel Lloyd-Jones (VP of A&R, Sony/ATV Music Publishing), with more TBC. The event will also give an opportunity for these A&R’s to source new talent for any potential opportunities.

Talent will be selected for the Clinic via a preliminary application process, where they will need to submit their demos, artist profiles, and some information of what they have independently achieved thus far.

Ryan J. Bruce (Founder of The A&R Clinic and Glocal World Ent.) said:

We’re excited to be partnering with Tileyard for this event. To me, Tileyard is the premiere creative music and media hub in London. Veterans like Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, and Zane Lowe all have a base there, as well as respected industry firms such as Echo Location and The MMF". Speaking on the event itself, Ryan continues "There’s not many events out there that provide what could be a life-changing opportunity in this exact format, and that’s what we’re about here at GWE...creating new and innovate opportunities to help advance the music industry, and careers of those within it. As we all know, success in this business is mostly about whom you know, so with this event our aim is simple…to connect the right people with the right people”.

Registration for The A&R Clinic is open now on www.glocalworldent.com, and closes on Monday 30th June 2014. It is open to soloists, duos/groups, solo songwriters and producers, as well as writing/production collectives. Good luck!
