TicketWeb Partners with Music Venue Trust as Headline Sponsor for Venues Day 2016

TicketWeb, the UK’s leading ticket website for independent live music, will be the headline sponsor for the event held by Music Venue Trust. Both the charity and ticketing service have struck up a flourishing relationship with the mutual ambition to help protect, preserve and improve the UK’s grassroots music venues (GMVs). TicketWeb’s commitment to supporting Venues Day 2016, the national networking event for GMVs which will take place at Camden’s iconic Roundhouse on Tuesday 18 October, is the next step in this partnership.
Venues Day 2016 brings together representatives from small, independent venues from across the country. Creating a forum to discuss the continued challenges for the sector, to share news of advances being made and to connect venues with people and organisations keen to help them in the forthcoming year.
This partnership further highlights TicketWeb’s commitment to independent live music, having this year already teamed up with the British Music Embassy to showcase the best new British talent at SXSW, held a new music showcase at The Great Escape, and been chief sponsors of the 2016 Scottish Album of the Year Awards. This is in addition to a recent announcement by TicketWeb to partner with local UK promoters to showcase the best emerging live talent to fans across the country. Further ongoing activity includes TicketWeb Sessions with live performances from up and comers that take place throughout the year and also the annual ‘Ones to Watch’ list for the approaching year.
