The BRIT Awards YouTube live stream with Caspar Lee



The BRIT Awards 2017 with MasterCard takes place on Wednesday 22nd February at London’s O2 Arena

The BRIT Awards 2017 with Mastercard is gearing up to reach an even bigger worldwide audience than ever before.

On Wednesday 22nd February at 7:30PM (GMT) global music lovers will be able to join in the celebrations and watch the ceremony live on YouTube, The BRIT Awards 2017 live video partner, showing the UK’s biggest music event for the fourth consecutive year. 

Viewers can tune in at youtube.com/brits and see global artists Ed SheeranKaty PerryBruno MarsRobbie WilliamsEmeli SandéLittle Mix, UK grime sensation Skepta and The 1975, who will all be performing at the UK’s biggest night in music at The O2 in London. As well as finding out who will be the winners of the coveted trophies designed by visionary British architect Zaha Hadid.

YouTube is the video stream partner outside of the UK, broadcasting to global territories with exclusive live coverage of the awards show. Along with YouTube superstar Caspar Lee taking the reins presenting the BRITs YouTube live stream, as well as reporting on all the action from the red carpet and backstage, providing an exclusive look behind the scenes at The O2 for music fans around the world.

22-year-old Caspar Lee started his self-titled YouTube channel (Dicasp) in 2010 and now has over 7 million YouTube subscribers and can command 25 million views a month from uploading one video a week. ”I’ve always been a huge fan of British music,” the online star revealed, “so I'm delighted to have been asked to host the BRITs Live Stream this year. There are some seriously talented nominees so I'm looking forward to some memorable moments on the night. 

Last year The BRIT Awards reached over 1 million unique viewers around the globe on the YouTube channel.

This year’s awards will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis at The O2 on Wednesday 22nd February with performances from Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Robbie Williams, Emeli Sandé, Little Mix, grime sensation Skepta and The 1975. Following an incredible year in music, 2017’s ceremony has been extended by half an hour and exclusively broadcast in the UK on ITV. This year will also see Clara Amfo, Laura Jackson and Alice Levine host The BRIT Awards 2017: Red Carpet and Backstage on ITV2, either side of the main awards show.
