SIMON GREENAWAY AND DAVID RYAN JORDAN PROMOTED TO LEAD ASCAP MEMBERSHIP IN UK & CONTINENTAL EUROPE

Simon Greenaway has been promoted to Senior Director, Membership UK & Continental Europe; and David Ryan Jordan has been promoted to Director, Membership UK & Continental Europe. Greenaway will lead the Membership team and, along with Jordan, will report into Neil Gaffney, who was appointed ASCAP Senior VP, International Affairs last October.

Each of them has a sterling network of contacts and will continue to bolster ASCAP’s UK and Continental European repertory, adding to ASCAP’s competitive edge in the modern music business environment.”
Greenaway joined the ASCAP UK & Continental Europe Membership team in 2011, Simon has been instrumental in affiliating composers such as Daniel Pemberton (The Man from U.N.C.L.E) and plays a key supporting role in the ASCAP relationships of UK and Continental European-based composers Steven Price, Alex Heffes, Dario Marianelli and recent Oscar composer nominee Gary Yershon. Prior to working at ASCAP, Greenaway was a songwriter, composer and producer for over 20 years, enjoying four top 20 UK hits and three UK/Europe dance No.1’s, and selling over 3 million records with Charlotte Church, for whom he wrote and produced. Also a prolific advert composer, he worked alongside Patrick Doyle on movies such as Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire and Nanny McPhee, Hans Zimmer on Muppet Treasure Island, David Arnold on the Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, and John Powell on Ice Age 3.
David Ryan Jordan joined ASCAP’s London office in January 2012. His achievements include affiliating such artists as Years & Years, Jess Glynne, Royal Blood and Jungle with ASCAP for the US. Prior to his work at ASCAP, Jordan was a musician and songwriter in the band Air Traffic, who were signed to EMI Records and Warner Chappell Publishing.
