Signature Brew Partners with Independent Venue Week 2017

East London-based brewery Signature Brew has announced a partnership with Independent Venue Week for the second year running. The week, now in its fourth year, will run from Monday 23rd January to Sunday 29th January 2017 and will feature events at 148 independent venues all over the UK.

Just as with pubs in the beer industry, many of the UK’s independent music venues face the threat of closure. Independent Venue Week aims to support these live music destinations, which are an essential part of the UK’s historic music culture and are the lifeblood to the many professional musicians that perform at them.

Live music is a key part of the ethos that Signature Brew was founded upon, which creates its modern, flavour-forward beers at its brewery in Leyton, East London. Its core range, which includes “Roadie All-Night IPA” and “Studio Pilsner” take much of their inspiration from the live music scene. As well as supporting independent venues, Signature is committed to improving the quality of beer at music venues all over the country.

Signature Brew is supporting the venues taking part in Independent Venue Week by offering them a free 30 litre keg or a case of 24 cans. Participating venues can contact Signature Brew by emailing stockists@signaturebrew.co.uk or by calling 020 7684 4664. By stocking music venues, Signature Brew has discovered that these particular venues see customers arriving at gigs earlier. This has the knock on effect of both increasing revenue for the venue while offering a greater level of support to performing musicians in the process.

Signature Brew founder Sam McGregor is over the moon to be supporting Independent Venue Week and had this to say about the event:

“Here at Signature Brew we have always had a grassroots independent spirit at our heart, this spirit is shared by our friends at IVW, and epitomised by their week long celebration. Now, more than ever, gig-goers and drinkers alike, are seeking out brands with a conscience, a soul and a devotion to offering only the highest quality gig or beer.”

“The best independent venues recognise the importance of completing the experience for music fans, going above and beyond to ensure that a night's enjoyment isn’t restricted to when the band is on stage. Every good evening starts and ends with a quality beer in hand, allowing music fans to soak up the atmosphere and savour the collective community that is independent music and beer.”

To mark this years event Signature Brew has collaborated on a beer with reggae outfit “The Skints.” The resulting beer, called “Nice Time” is a super-juicy, tropical pale ale featuring additions of pink guava, passion fruit and blood orange as well as the Citra and Mosaic North American Hop Varieties.
