28 November 2016 - Press releaseAfter one of the most exciting 24 hours we've had in our 4 year development period with our act 'The Wholls', I am compelled to send this HUGE thanks to Lee and the whole team at Record Of The Day, whose invaluable support for The Wholls has helped build and provide results.
As well as a much coveted Radio 1 playlist for their song ‘X21’ the band were also chosen by Radio 1 as 1 of only 18 acts to represent the absolute best of Reading Festival 2016. Their tune 'Roll Out’ is currently being rotated via a major sync deal with ESPN every Monday night on the NFL football game, until Superbowl. Both tracks were profiled by RotD.
Friday 25th November saw this amazing band play their debut concert in Berlin and on the same night sign a contract to join the very exclusive Sony Music family who have already planned the band's debut release, due after Christmas 2016, with ‘X21’: the very song that ROTD said last November was a surefire hit record.
Record Of The Day is without a doubt one of the most significant profiles an artist's music can achieve and, certainly for us, a catalyst in what has been an exceptional year for our hard working act ‘The Wholls’ which has resulted in a signed licensing deal with Sony Music for GSA.
I cannot recommend RotD and their team strongly enough and their support in profiling our artist's music. Their spotlight reaches the world and has certainly done our label very proud!
