PRS for Music Foundation announces promotions and new appointments

·         Current staff members, Joe Frankland and Flora Ward to be promoted

·         New members of staff, Leyla Atamturk and Naomi Belshaw join the organisation

·         New vacancy, Programme Co-ordinator - now open for applications

PRS for Music Foundation, the UK’s leading charitable funder of new music and talent development across all genres, announces today two staff promotions and two appointments as two members of staff leave the Foundation for new posts outside of London.

Industry Fund Manager Joe Frankland is being promoted to the role of Senior Grants & Programmes Manager, as James Hannam leaves to take up an academic role at Southampton Solent University. In his new role, Joe Frankland – who joined us from Generator in Newcastle last year – will lead our open grantmaking schemes whilst also retaining oversight of our major industry Funds which includes the Momentum Music Fund and the BBC Introducing showcase partnership.

To strengthen our grants team, PRS for Music’s current Classical Account Manager, Naomi Belshaw, will join PRS for Music Foundation as Grants and Programme Manager.  Naomi will be contributing to grants assessments, managing flagship commissioning programmes such as New Music Biennial and Beyond Borders and leading our new classical programmes that will be launched in the coming months to support composers and repertoire promotion.

Also within the organisation Flora Ward has been promoted, from Administrator to Grants Co-ordinator, following the departure of Joe Timlin who joins The Sage in Gateshead.  The Administrator role will be taken up by new member of staff, Leyla Atamturk who joins us from freelance roles at Urban Development.

PRS for Music Foundation Executive Director Vanessa Reed says,

I am delighted that both Joe and Flora have made such a strong contribution to our work and have progressed to take up new roles within the organisation.  I’m also excited to be welcoming two new members of staff in Naomi and Leyla who will be adding new insight and knowledge to an already talented team.  The slight changes to our structure will help us to strengthen the vital support we give to current and potential applicants seeking support through our broad range of grants and talent development programmes.  Whilst we are sorry to lose excellent, longstanding members of our team these developments represent another exciting chapter in the Foundation’s history.

The Foundation is now advertising a vacancy for Programme Co-ordinator which will take care of enquiries, applications, assessments and monitoring of our music industry programmes run with funding from Arts Council England and other partners. This is open from today.  To find out more about this exciting role and download the job pack visit: http://prsformusicfoundation.com/About-Us/Opportunities-to-work-with-us
