PPL Appoints Lynne McDowell As Head Of Communications
20 September 2016 - Press releaseMusic licensing company, PPL, has appointed former BPI senior executive Lynne McDowell as Head of Communications commencing 10th October 2016.
The newly created role will see McDowell take the lead on the implementation of PPL’s communications and marketing strategy at an exciting time for the company, ahead of its Joint Venture on public performance licensing with PRS in 2017. Reporting into PPL’s Operations Director, Christine Geissmar, McDowell will head up a strong team with responsibility for the delivery of all communications and marketing activity across the UK.
Commenting on her appointment, Christine Geissmar, said, “We are delighted to welcome Lynne. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and I am sure she will make a significant contribution to PPL”.
Since her departure from BPI in April 2015, McDowell has successfully developed Well Red Music & Media, her own PR agency focusing on corporate communications for music and media companies. She has also been the Managing Director of the award-winning Cato Academy, the only “Roadie School” in the world established by MUSE Tour Director, Glen Rowe.
