PopShack Appointment Michael Tobin Obe As Non Executive Director

PopShack, the leading social music business, has announced the appointment of telecommunications and technology veteran, Michael Tobin OBE, as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Tobin has invested in the company and will join the board alongside former MTV Networks International CEO Bill Roedy and former Starcom MediaVest CEO Stewart Easterbrook.

Tobin’s business and thought leadership have been widely recognized. As the recipient of numerous business awards including PWC Technology CEO of the Year in 2007, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009, 2010 and 2011, London Chamber of Commerce’s Business Person of the Year in 2009 and 2010, Tobin was awarded an OBE for Services to the Digital Economy in 2014.

He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer at Telecity Group PLC from 2003 to August 2014, managing the company through a successful IPO in October 2007, and subsequently growing the company to become the leading data centre business in Europe with a market cap of over £1.5bn. Earlier this year Tobin joined the board of rock music media company Team Rock.
