Next round of the Momentum Deezer Award announced

  Adult Jazz, Lonelady, MONEY and We Were Evergreen among 10 artists to receive the latest round of Momentum Music funding.

PRS for Music Foundation, Arts Council England and Deezer announce today (Monday 26^th January 2015) the next round of artists to receive the coveted career-boosting Momentum Music funding. 

From the frenzied guitar rock of Arrows of Love to the infectious pop of Jessica Agombar, the latest batch of artists, to receive Momentum funding, are:

Momentum funded Lonelady said:

This latest round of funded artists follows Arts Council England’s announcement to increase funding available for Momentum beyond its initial two year pilot, in order to better meet the needs of artists working in independent music. You can read the full Arts Council England announcement here:

Managed by PRS for Music Foundation, the Momentum Music fund awards grants of £5,000-£15,000 using funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England. For a full rundown of all the artists supported so far see:

The next deadline for applications to the Momentum Music fund is Tuesday 10^th February 2015 via the PRS for Music Foundation website: 

All artists who receive Momentum funding have the opportunity of winning the £2,500 Momentum Deezer Award on top of their grant. The award encourages fans and subscribers to help their favourite acts gain streams through the Momentum Deezer app, with those boasting the highest number of plays receiving the extra funding. Not only does the additional grant help artists to create exciting new music, it helps make their music accessible to their eager fans. All Momentum artists’ work is available on Deezer, with a playlist of previously funded artists available here:http://www.deezer.com/playlist/968348031
