KATIE VINTEN PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, A&R, WARNER/CHAPPELL MUSIC

Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced the promotion of Katie Vinten to Vice President, A&R. She previously served as Director, A&R. Based at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters, Vinten will continue to scout, sign and develop new and established songwriting talent. She will continue to report to WCM President, North America, Jon Platt.

“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Katie for many years, dating back to our days at EMI,” said Platt. “She’s an exceptional publisher who time and again brings out the best in our songwriters. Katie is a star who has only just begun to show us the depth of her talents, and I’m excited to see what’s to come.”

Vinten noted, “I’m in pursuit of excellence on behalf of our songwriters and my colleagues; we are a team. I love the process of taking talented songwriters to the next level by providing a level of service and commitment they simply will not find elsewhere.  Fortunately, I’ve worked under the mentorship of, unquestionably, the best music publishing executive in the business, as well as a crew of exceptionally talented songwriters. Warner/Chappell is an incredible environment where we aim to cultivate a songwriter's career at every level, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Vinten previously served as Director, A&R, for Warner/Chappell. Since joining the company in 2012, she’s been instrumental in the careers of songwriters Justin Tranter (Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson), Audra Mae (Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert), Captain Cuts (Walk the Moon), Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez, Cash Cash, Fifth Harmony), Nick Monson (Lady Gaga, sirenXX), and Felix Snow, as well as performing artists/songwriters Greg Holden and Katy Tiz, among many more.

Prior to Warner/Chappell, Vinten held various roles at EMI Music Publishing, most recently as Creative Director. She began her career in 2007 after graduating from NYU.
