JILL HOLLYWOOD LAUNCHES ECHO BEACH MANAGEMENT

Initial roster features Jacknife Lee, Ash Howes and Cam Blackwood

After twelve years at Big Life Management, producer and artist manager Jill Hollywood has departed in order to found her new company Echo Beach Management.

Since joining Big Life Management in 2004, Hollywood has help guide the careers of a talented array of leading producers including Jacknife Lee(U2, Jake Bugg, R.E.M.), Youth (Pink Floyd,The Verve, Embrace) Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Amy Macdonald) and MyRiot (London Grammar, Birdy, James Morrison). In addition, Hollywood has worked for the last five years with one of the UK’s finest and most successful mix engineers – Ash Howes(One Direction, The Corrs, Dido)

Jacknife Lee, Cam Blackwood, Ash Howes and MyRiot will join Hollywood at Echo Beach Management as part of a roster that also includes Chris Zane (Passion Pit, St Lucia)mix legend Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode,Tears For Fears), orchestral arranger Davide Rossi (Coldplay, Alicia Keys), Atlantic artist and internationally renowned DJ Alex Metric, vocal coach Lorna Blackwood (Rae Morris, Years & Years) and up and coming electronic mix wizard Q (Steve Angelo, Tommy Trash).

Echo Beach Management’s ethos is simple: to cater for the specific personal needs of the range of talent that it represents. The company focuses on working with clients who possess their own specific artistic vision, with many of its producers being people who have also released their own solo records.

We offer a very bespoke management service that’s tailored to the client,” says Hollywood. “We’re focused on ensuring that our artists achieve longevity with their careers. Part of that is identifying what’s best for each person at specific times in their careers: if, for example, they’ve been working on a succession of big records, they might be more creatively fulfilled by spending some time on a more underground project. By recognising these needs, we build enduring relationships that flourish for both the artist and the company.”

Mike Smith, Managing Director of Warner/Chappell UK, says of Jill: “The choice of producer on a recording session is always one of the biggest challenges for both the record label and for the artist and their representatives.   Jill and her team have always come up with fantastic solutions to the question of who represent the best creative collaborators with today's artists.    Working with her is always a pleasure as she combines an unflappable nature with great creativity and humour.”

Ollie Hodge, A&R Director,Columbia Records says: "Echo Beach has an enviable breadth of quality and innovative producers and mixers, which makes a call to Jill inevitable with many of our artists.”

Hollywood will be joined at Echo Beach Management by a small and experienced supporting team, and the company is based in central London.

ABOUT

Echo Beach Management’s founder and managing director Jill Hollywood has a long track record as one of the leading talents within the world of producer management.

Hollywood commenced her career in music when she became editor of the Australian dance magazine 3D World. She moved to the UK in 1995 where she developed her extensive experience within the music industry: first as A&R scout at Polygram/Island Music and then as A&R manager at Telstar Records.

She joined Big Life Management as producer manager in 2004. Over a twelve-year career, Hollywood developed an enduring creative partnership with award-winning producers such as Jacknife Lee (U2, Jake Bugg, R.E.M.), Youth (Pink Floyd, The Verve, Dido) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra).

In addition, Hollywood also guided the careers of hitmaking mix engineers including Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode, Erasure) and Ash Howes (One Direction). She later expanded the company roster to include other elements of music’s creative process, with clients such as Atlantic Records artist Alex Metric, regular Coldplay orchestral arranger Davide Rossi, and Years & Years / George Ezra vocal coach Lorna Blackwood.

One of Hollywood’s recent successes was a campaign that culminated when Youth honoured earned the award of Outstanding Contribution to UK Music at the 2016 Music Producers Guild Awards.

Hollywod left Big Life Management in March 2016 to form Echo Beach Management.
