ICMP ANNOUNCES LIVE + LOUD FESTIVAL 2016

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is delighted to announce, along with our partners the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), Shure UK and Mapex Drums, that we will be hosting our annual student festival Live + Loud at the London Fields Brewery on the 25th of May.  To build on the success of last year’s Tunnel to Tunnel festival, we have added more bands and additional entertainment on the day.
Our headline act this year will be Denai Moore, who is one of ICMP’s most accomplished alumna. Her debut album ‘Elsewhere’ gained her recognition from fans including Jools Holland, Huw Stephens and Plan B and she has also played some of the world’s best venues and festivals including David Lynch’s ‘Silencio’ in Paris and Glastonbury in both 2014 and 2015. She will be joined by 17 other acts including Victoria, Kaity Rae and Grecko across two stages hosted by Shure UK and Mapex Drums. The event is also being supported by Knight Sound & Light with whom ICMP regularly works with for the supply of technical equipment to enhance its events.
The Live + Loud Festival is designed to celebrate the hard work and success of ICMP’s student body at the end of term, and showcase some the best up-and-coming acts that the capital has to offer. The event will also feature artwork from ICMP and external students, circus entertainment and more, making it a day not to be missed. Audience members arriving early will have the chance to win tickets for Standon Calling and Camden Rocks Festivals.
The ISM is the UK’s professional body for musicians, a thriving organisation supporting 7,500 individuals working in or studying music. The ISM welcomes musicians from all musical backgrounds and genres, and from all areas of the profession. As well as supporting their members, they also campaign tirelessly for the rights of all musicians and to support of music education and the music profession as a whole.
Deborah Annetts, Chief Executive of the Incorporated Society of Musicians said:
