Fezzee Introduces festival goer app FezzMesh

Fezzee Limited today announced details of its innovative device-to-device technology, FezzMesh, which will be included in event apps it creates for outdoor event and festival producers. Fezzee offers the highest performing software and network solution for event management in the industry. Tied to its goal – events made easy – FezzMesh is the latest of Fezzee’s design of robust, integrated solutions to meet the multiple needs of the massive event community, including: event attendees, sponsors, merchandisers, organizers, and adjunct companies interested in research related to the event industry.

Attendee communication at live events amongst friends, organisers and sponsors is difficult today as cellular signals or Internet Wi-Fi access are generally unavailable or spotty at best. Using the Fezzee app with FezzMesh technology revolutionises the user experience by enabling easy and effective communication. Using FezzMesh, festivals and events can now provide up- to- the- minute lineup changes and time-sensitive festival promotions. Festival goers can easily locate each other in a busy crowd and locate groups who are nearby via an interactive map. This is accomplished with Fezzee’s ability to provide unified communications online and off the grid in multicast group messaging. The FezzMesh technology creates a device-to-device, ad hoc mesh network using the switched on mobile devices at festivals which overcomes the common issues of connectivity at large events. Important user experience enhancing features are also part of the Fezzee app including a function called “Last Seen” where users can see when and where their friends were last “on the grid", allowing friends to meet up even after their device runs out of battery. This feature also includes a “hide me button” option for people who want to maintain their privacy. Additionally the Fezzee app includes a music discovery and recommendation engine, which provides users with crowd data-driven music line-up recommendations.

For event organizers, the Fezzee app provides capabilities to develop customizable real time content delivery feeds to reach their event goers with late breaking news or promotions. Plus, the app also includes Fezzee’s FestivalSmart technology, which saves battery life and bandwidth.
