European Arenas Association appoints new General Manager



The European Arenas Association Board is pleased to announce the appointment of the new EAA General Manager, Nancy Skipper.

Nancy comes to the EAA with significant concert promotion and association industry experience, including;

- Administrator to the Executive for the National Arenas Association for the past 8 years, which includes 21 Arenas in the UK and Ireland

- Worked for Europe's legendary concert promoter Harvey Goldsmith on projects including: David Gilmour, Jools Holland, Live 8, Bruce Springsteen, Cirque du Soleil, The Who and many others. Nancy worked in a variety of roles including ticketing, event booking, budgeting and tour management.

- Founding partner in live events company, Ginger Owl Productions which worked as artist liaison at several large festivals including Download, Wireless and Hard Rock Calling

- Worked freelance on important events including Concert for Diana, Teenage Cancer Trust concerts and Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday

Brian Kabatznick, EAA President “On behalf of the EAA Board and its 34 arenas across Europe we are very pleased to welcome Nancy as the General Manager. The EAA has many strategic initiatives planned for 2016 including hosting an Arena Security Symposium to be held during the spring meeting in Birmingham, introducing new content initiatives for our venues, and implementing a special summer meeting to visit the 3 major arenas in the New York area. Nancy’s expertise will add great value to our members and objectives”.

Current topics of interest for the EAA include arena security analysis and venue redevelopment benchmarks.

The EAA Research Project looking at attendance stats from the 2015 year across the arenas is due to be published at this years ILMC.
