BRITs Icon ROBBIE WILLIAMS to perform at 2017 BRIT Awards with Mastercard



Joins stellar artist lineup including Little Mix, Emeli Sandé & The 1975

 

 
The BRIT Awards with Mastercard exclusively broadcast live on ITV - Wednesday 22nd February 2017 from The O2 Arena, London

Today, Wednesday 18th January - The BRIT Awards with Mastercard 2017 announce that BRITs Icon Robbie Williams will join Little MixThe 1975 and Emeli Sandé to perform at the UK's biggest night in music in February at The O2.
 
Robbie Williams said: "I'm delighted to be performing at the BRITs once again. It's always a special night for music - this year feels like a big one". 
 
BRITs Chairman Jason Iley said: "We are excited to welcome back Robbie Williams to the BRITs stage as he has become part of the Awards history. He's a world class live performer who never disappoints!"
 
Robbie Williams has become synonymous with the awards as he holds the record as the most-awarded BRITs winner in history with 17 BRIT Awards as a solo artist and as part of Take That. Last year he received the BRITs Icon Award, which is presented to artists whose writing, recording and performances have made a lasting impact on British culture, and was celebrated with an intimate concert at The Troxy. He recently broke David Bowie's record for the most number one albums by a British solo artist as his album 'The Heavy Entertainment Show' debuted at the top of the charts.
 
Robbie will also feature on the The BRIT Awards 2017 album, released through Universal Music on Demand on Friday 17th February which is now available to pre-order. The hit packed album celebrates the biggest tracks of the year from the best talent in music including The WeekndEllie GouldingZara LarssonLittle MixSiaJames ArthurClean Bandit, and Christine and the Queens along with Critics' Choice winner Rag'n'Bone Man.
 
The 2017 BRIT Award nominations were announced by Emma Willis live on primetime ITV. Skepta and Little Mix lead the nominations with three each. The legendary David Bowie received two posthumous nominations in 'British Male Solo Artist' and the prestigious 'Mastercard Album of the Year' with Leonard Cohen receiving his first BRIT Award nomination in 'International Male Solo Artist.' The 1975KanoMichael KiwanukaCalvin HarrisJames ArthurClean BanditJonas BlueTinie Tempah and Coldplay also received two.
