Believe Recordings are proud to announce a series of key new signings to welcome to their growing roster: Fyfe, Andreas Moe, Aquilo, Esse, The Age of Luna and Meadowlark, plus a new joint venture with Good Soldier on Gavin James. 

Believe Recordings UK was founded in 2010 by Stephen King whose 30 years of senior industry experience in artist management led to the star signing of both James Vincent McMorrow and Bastille to form the prolific new label. James achieved worldwide success with his platinum debut album Early In The Morning, recently reinforcing this critical acclaim with his 2014 sophomore album Post Tropical, and the label developed indie-powerhouse Bastille through the release of their debut EP, which kick-started their now skyrocketing career.

Four years on, the label’s burgeoning roster has taken on a whole new wave of forward-thinking, talented young acts who are forging a fresh musical direction and honing the sound of Believe Recordings, whilst utilising Believe Digital’s extensive distribution network and bespoke label services. With its innovative model in A&R, distribution, and digital promotion, Believe Recordings are providing deals that enable artists more input, flexibility and scope in their releases.

Having now established Believe Recordings as an exciting label for exceptional new music, our recent signings are set to follow on from the success we’ve had with James Vincent McMorrow and Bastille”.

Most recently, Believe welcomes Fyfe to their roster: the immersive solo-project of 24-year-old Paul Dixon who’s next single ‘For You’ (watch the video here) has already been featured as Zane Lowe's ‘Next Hype’ on BBC Radio 1 and reached #1 on Hype Machine. Having received multiple offers from across the industry, Fyfe has signed to Believe Recordings to release his self-produced debut album.

Paul Dixon (Fyfe) commented on the signing: “Creative freedom is very important to me so it's refreshing to be a part of a label who are first and foremost music fans, but furthermore willing to put their trust in me as an artist. Believe Recordings is a home where I know I will receive the support of a dedicated team but also benefit from the wider Believe Digital network”.

A leading-edge addition to the label, Lake District duo Aquilo have received unanimous media support and widespread industry interest through their recent self-titled debut EP (listen here), being included on BBC Radio 1’s Introducing playlist and securing a subsequent slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2014. 

Believe Recordings are also delighted to announce the signing of The Age of Luna, a refreshing take on early 90s New York hip-hop who have been recommended by the likes of De La Soul (listen here); highly anticipated solo-project ESSE, who has already attracted notable support for debut track ‘Deep Heart’ (listen here); indie-folk group Meadowlark, who have just released their debut EP after supporting both Bastille & Gabrielle Aplin; and Swedish singer-songwriter Andreas Moe, who boasts a recent support slot with John Mayer at the O2 Arena and a vocal feature on Avicii’s worldwide hit single ‘Fade into Darkness’. Andreas’ debut EP Ocean will be released this July through Believe Recordings (watch the video for lead track ‘Ocean’ here). 

In addition to their new signings, Believe have partnered with Christian Tattersfield’s Good Soldier Records in an innovative new recording deal with rising Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James. Gavin already has a number one record in Ireland to his name and has supported the likes of Kodaline, Tom Odell, Lianne La Havas and James Blunt.
