Musexpo dates announced

07 Aug 2012
The dates for the 9th annual MUSEXPO Los Angeles have officially been announced. The highly respected “United Nations of Music & Media” is set to take place May 5 – 8, 2013.

After eight highly successful years, the event will be relocating to the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The Roosevelt has been featured in notable music videos, television series and films and has become an integral part of Hollywood's extravagant nightlife, making it a place certain to transcend the unrivaled music industry experience that has been expected throughout the years from A&R Worldwide’s MUSEXPO. Hollywood is home to unprecedented global entertainment events such as The Grammy Awards, Oscars and many other high-profile gatherings where legends are made.

MUSEXPO will host some of the most influential executives from around the globe, as well as showcase the crème de la crème of emerging U.S. and International talent during the evening showcases at SIR Los Angeles. The world-renowned venue is conveniently located within walking distance from the host hotel in Hollywood on the famed Sunset Blvd. SIR Studios is a place legendary artists such as Jane's Addiction, Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, KISS, Mötley Crüe, Green Day, No Doubt, Maroon 5 and many others call home. In addition, it is Los Angeles' key showcase experience - where hundreds of famous artists have been born and signed to labels and publishers.

Our mandate has always been to inspire those with a true passion for music, to focus on doing new business worldwide and to create and explore new ways to work together for the common good of our industry. "Every year, our entire team sets a new standard to ensure we continue to make each MUSEXPO better than the last," states Sat Bisla (Founder, A&R Worldwide, MUSEXPO), who hosted the original A&R worldwide networking dinner back in the spring of 2001 with Dave Holmes (Worldwide Manager of Coldplay). "We are determined to make 2013 our best MUSEXPO ever, by bringing back the highly-successful A&R Worldwide Global Synch & Consumer Brands Summit and introducing the A&R EXPO (an evolution from last year’s International Songwriting Summit). The morning sessions will be panels focused on the creative science and business development of songwriting and developing artist careers locally and globally. After the networking lunch, the participants will be broken up into roundtable face-to-face meetings with some of the most powerful and influential A&R executives, managers, producers, songwriters, music supervisors, brands, publishers and content creators from around the world.

Additionally, we will be presenting the International Music Person of the Year Award to the legendary Daniel Glass, Founder/CEO, Glassnote Entertainment. Daniel Glass's music biz career began as one of the hottest DJs at Brooklyn College's WBCR.
