AIM Announces Appointment Of Chair & Management Group

Transgressive Records co-founder Tim Dellow to take on role of Chair

AIM today announces the appointment of a Chairperson, who will oversee AIM board matters and work closely with AIM CEO Paul Pacifico on driving the organisation’s strategic direction. Tim Dellow, of Transgressive Records, was elected by the Board as AIM’s first Chairperson.

As part of restructuring under CEO Paul Pacifico, the roles of CEO and Chair have been split, AIM’s governance updated and a new Management Group put in place to help support the Chair and CEO. The following AIM members have been named as the first Management Group:

Jane Third, Because Music

Hannah Overton, Secretly Group

Martin Mills, Beggars Group

Peter Quicke, Ninja Tune

Transgressive Records’ Tim Dellow said: "I'm honoured to have been elected as the Chairperson of AIM. The Independent sector is flourishing, reflected in this incredibly dynamic board, which has great ambitions to develop talent and break artists in this exciting landscape. I am sure that AIM will continue to reflect the true voice of independent entrepreneurship, and help our diverse membership fight for ethical deals and approaches on behalf of the artists they represent."

Beggars Groups’ Martin Mills said: “As an independent, it’s hard to imagine life without AIM. AIM is our community, our collective face, the entity through which we are all strong together. AIM’s 18 years of existence have been years of dramatic change in the market, and it’s great to see how the organisation has grown in step with and ahead of the times.”

AIM CEO Paul Pacifico said: “It’s great to have the support of such a high calibre Chairperson and management group as we enter the next chapter of AIM. The management board will help us in addressing a number of challenges facing AIM and the independent community, with an initial focus being strengthening the support AIM provides regionally to members.”

AIM thanks Ninja Tune’s Peter Quicke for undertaking the role of interim Chair.
